ENID, Oklahoma – Seven members of the Ouachita baseball team have been selected for All-Great American Conference honors for their performances so far during the 2025 season.
Starting pitcher Chase Oberle highlights this year's selections for the Tigers. The redshirt junior from Justin, Texas has earned a spot on the All-GAC First Team and the All-GAC Defensive Team.
Second Team All-GAC selections for the Tigers include senior starting pitcher Luke House, junior relief pitcher Tag Pacot, sophomore shortstop Wesley Scott, senior center fielder Isaac Nowell, and junior utility Garrett Graham. Freshman designated hitter Jaxson Jester earned a spot on the honorable mention team.
Oberle is 5-4 this season in 14 starts, primarily as Ouachita's game one starter during conference series. He has tossed 87.1 innings so far with 92 strikeouts and only 20 walks allowed. He leads the league in innings pitched and ranks third in ERA (3.19) and strikeouts. Oberle was a two-time GAC Pitcher of the Week this season.
House leads the Tigers this year and is tied for third in the GAC with seven wins in his 13 starts. The Decatur, Texas native is fifth in the league in strikeouts (73), sixth in innings pitched (72.1), and seventh in ERA (4.35). He earned his 20th career win in a complete-game shutout victory over Northwestern Oklahoma State, which earned him GAC and central region pitcher of the week honors.
Pacot has been Ouachita's most-used pitcher this season with 19 appearances, which is the tied for the second most outings by a pitcher this year in the GAC. The Rockwall, Texas native is tied for eighth in the league in strikeouts (61) and ranks ninth in saves (3). He is tied with Oberle for second most wins this season on the team with five.
Scott is second on the team with a .329 batting average heading into the postseason. The Dallas, Texas native is tied with Garrett Graham for the team lead in home runs this season with eight. Scott leads the team in walks (33) and on-base percentage (.454), and is second in doubles (10), RBI (35), and slugging percentage (.561). He leads all of the GAC in stolen bases this year with 26 steals on 29 attempts.
Nowell is Ouachita's top hitter this season and is one of 17 players in the league with a batting average of at least .350. The Little Rock native leads the team in batting average (.354), slugging percentage (.579), runs scored (46), hits (63), doubles (11), triples (4), and total bases (103).
Graham has spread out the season at three different positions for the Tigers including third base, left field, and first base. The Abilene, Texas native is tied with Scott for the team lead in home runs (8) and ranks either second or third on the team in 14 other offensive categories.
Jester turned in a productive rookie campaign, finishing the regular season with a .291 batting average to go along with 34 total hits, two doubles, one home run, and 20 RBI.
The GAC also announced its academic honor roll for the 2025 baseball season, which includes all players in the league with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA in at least their second year of college. Seven Tigers made the list, including Ryan Armentrout, Logan Bell, Andrew Cox, Reece McWilliams, Isaac Nowell, Tag Pacot, and Braden Tucker.
These honorees along with the rest of the Tigers begin postseason play on Thursday at the GAC Championship Tournament in Enid, Oklahoma. Ouachita is the No. 5 seed in the bracket and opens up against No. 4 seed Harding on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the David Allen Memorial Ballpark.
