ARKADELPHIA – The 2025 Ouachita softball season is just over a month away, with the first pitch set for January 31.
The Tigers open the season with the annual McGhee-Hawkins Invitational hosted by Ouachita and Henderson state and will host Missouri S&T, Northwest Missouri State, Christian Brothers, and Northeastern State on January 31 and February 1.
Ouachita will then make a trip to the Lone Star State to compete in the George and Ola McCorkle Challenge in San Angelo, Texas and will take on host Angelo State, Texas A&M International, and Missouri Western on February 7-9.
The next weekend features a three game home series against Division I Arkansas-Pine Bluff. These are the only games scheduled against a non-Division II opponent.
Ouachita will play a total of 36 in-region opponents and will take on six teams that made the NCAA Tournament last season. The Tigers are scheduled to play 25 home games at Langston Field.
Great American Conference action is set to start February 21-22 at home against East Central. The GAC Tournament will one again be held in Bentonville, Arkansas and will feature the top eight teams in the league in a single-elimination bracket.
The 2025 season will start on Friday, January 31 against Missouri S&T at Ouachita's Langston Field.
