ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita softball team opens the 2024 season with four games this weekend as part of the McGhee-Hawkins Invitational Tournament.
 
The Tigers will play two games on Friday, taking on Northwest Missouri State at 2 p.m. and Missouri S&T at 4:30 p.m. and two games on Saturday against Northeastern State at noon, and Missouri Southern State at 2:30 p.m. All games will be played at home at the recently renamed Langston Field.
 
This weekend's games are part of the annual McGhee-Hawkins Invitational, named after the late Mike McGhee, who coached the Tiger softball program from 2004-2019 and the late Ronnie Hawkins, a longtime softball coach and umpire in Arkansas.
