ST. PAUL, Minnesota – Ouachita baseball players
Dustin Bermudez and
Chase Oberle have been selected to the 2024 Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-Region Team.
Bermudez, a recent graduate from Chandler, Arizona, has earned a spot on the D2CCA All-Region First Team as a utility/pitcher, and will now be eligible for All-America honors.
Oberle, a junior from Justin, Texas, has earned second team all-region honors as a starting pitcher, marking his second all-region honor this year.
Both were All-Great American Conference First Team honorees this season. Oberle was also named the GAC Newcomer of the Year.
Bermudez finished his senior season with a .320 batting average in 50 games played with team-highs in hits (66) and doubles (17). The Chandler, Arizona native tied for the team-lead in home runs with 15. On the mound, he made 13 appearances and finished the season with a 1-3 record and a 2.41 ERA to go along with a team-high five saves.
Oberle was Ouachita's top starting pitcher during the 2024 campaign, and one of the best in the nation. With the NCAA tournament still ongoing, Oberle currently leads the GAC and ranks sixth nationally with a 2.23 earned run average.
