ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita baseball senior starting pitcher Chase Oberle has been named to the D2 Baseball Preseason All-America team for the 2025 season, which opens January 31.

Oberle was the Great American Conference Newcomer of the Year last year and also earned all-region honors from the D2 Conference Commissioners Association, the American Baseball Coaches Association, and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

The Justin, Texas native finished his first season with the Tigers with a 6-4 record and one save in 15 appearances. He turned in the best ERA in the conference last year at 2.23, which was sixth in all of NCAA Division II.

Oberle and the Tigers open the 2025 season next weekend at the Dugan Collegiate Baseball Invitational at Majestic Park in Hot Springs with games on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
