ARKADELPHIA – Ouachita baseball's Chase Oberle has been selected to the D2 Baseball Preseason All-America Second Team as the 2026 season approaches.

Oberle returns for his third season at Ouachita in 2026 after earning his second straight All-Great American Conference First Team honor in 2025. He was also selected to the All-GAC Defensive Team last year.

The graduate student from Justin, Texas was Ouachita's No. 1 pitcher last year, with 15 starts and a final record of 5-5. He totaled 97 strikeouts last year and only gave up 21 walks in 92.1 innings of work.

Oberle and the Tigers are set to begin the 2026 season this weekend in the Dugan Collegiate Baseball Invitational. Ouachita is scheduled to open up against Southwest Baptist on Friday at 10 a.m. in Hot Springs at Majestic Park.
