THREE BASEBALL GRADS EARN ACADEMIC HONORS

ARKADELPHIA – A trio of graduates from the Ouachita baseball team has been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Outfielder Isaac Nowell, infielder Reece McWilliams, and pitcher Tag Pacot represent the three Tigers picked for this year's squad. To qualify for the CSC honor, the student-athlete must have been a starter or significant reserve and hold at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA. True freshmen are not eligible for the honor.

Nowell recently finished his bachelor's degree in biology with a minor in kinesiology following his fourth season with the Tigers. The Little Rock native was a four-year starter for the program and earned second team All-GAC honors this season. He was named the team's academic MVP this year for a spot on the 2024-25 All-Ouachita Team.

McWilliams completed his bachelor's degree in kinesiology this past May, but will be returning to the Tigers as a graduate student for his final year of eligibility in 2025-26. The Little Rock native started 35 games this season for the Tigers, mostly at second base.

Pacot wrapped up a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice this past spring. The Rockwall, Texas native was a second team all-conference honoree this season as the team's most used relief pitcher with 20 appearances, highlighted by five wins and three saves.
