Joseph Bolin has been selected as the Great American Conference Player of the Week after posting a 1.491 OPS in four games for the Tigers.
Bolin and the Tigers went 2-2 over the last week, including a GAC series victory over Southern Nazarene at home. During the series, Bolin collected 10 hits and was instrumental in the Tigers' 7-6 victory in game two with a game-tying homerun in the seventh inning and a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning of the scheduled seven-inning contest.
The El Dorado, Arkansas native was 2-for-4 in the series-opening 14-4 win over the Crimson Storm. In game two, he was 4-for-5, including game-tying homerun and the game-winning single. He was also 4-for-5 in the series finale, which resulted in a 7-3 win for SNU.
Overall for the week, Bolin was 11-for-17 at the plate for a .647 batting average, an .824 slugging percentage, and a .667 on-base percentage.
The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday at home against Union University. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Rab Rodgers Field.
