RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.- For his stellar play on the mound during the 2013 campaign, Ouachita baseball's Davis Ward has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Year, as well as an unanimous All-GAC First Team Selection.
 
Ward, the team's ace, finished the year with a 9-3 record in 13 starts, including 10 complete game performances. He finished the year with an ERA of 1.74, the best among all GAC pitchers during the season.
 
Ward not only led the league in ERA though, but also in innings pitched and complete games.
