MEN'S TENNIS RANKED 14TH TO START 2023

ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men's tennis team has been ranked No. 14 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA Division II Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.

Ouachita is off to a good start in the 2022-23 season after turning in one of the best seasons in program history in 2021-22. The Tigers went 18-4 last year, highlighted by a Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association/Great American Conference championship and a postseason run that ended at the NCAA nationals round of 16 in Florida.

Five players are back from last year's team, including three all-conference players. All three – Phil Exner, Alex Blanchar, and Fernando Docters – as well as newcomer Aaron Osmond, are featured in the latest ITA singles and doubles rankings. The latest individual and team rankings can be found here:  https://www.wearecollegetennis.com/ita-rankings/.

Ouachita is the highest-ranked team from the MIAA/GAC in the preseason national poll, followed by Northwest Missouri State at No. 15, Washburn at No. 16, and Southern Arkansas in a tie for No. 21.

The Tigers open the 2023 spring season at home the weekend of February 4-5 against Delta State and Southwest Baptist.
