MARSHALL, Minnesota – Ouachita baseball's Dustin Bermudez has been selected as an honorable mention to the 2024 Division II Conference Commissioners Association All-America Team.

Bermudez, a recent graduate from Chandler, Arizona, was Ouachita's starting shortstop the past three seasons and was also the team's closer. He graduated recently with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

This past season, Bermudez posted a .320 batting average in 50 games played with team-highs in hits (66) and doubles (17). He tied for the team-lead in home runs with 15, which ranks third all-time at Ouachita for a single season. On the mound, he made 13 appearances and finished the season with a 1-3 record and a 2.41 ERA to go along with a team-high five saves. 

He finished his career ranked third all-time at Ouachita in home runs (34), fifth in hits (187), fourth in RBI (132), tied for fifth in doubles (42), and second in saves (17). He set a school record for a single season with 10 saves in 2023.

In addition to this season's All-America honor, Bermudez was also a first team All-Great American Conference selection for the second straight season. He earned second team all-region honors last year before earning a spot on the first team this season. He was twice selected to the All-Ouachita Team as the most valuable player for Tiger baseball.
