GREENSBORO, North Carolina – Ouachita baseball is among more than 470 collegiate programs that have earned the American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award for 2023-24.

Teams must have posted at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2023-24 academic year. The Tigers checked in at 3.3 and are one of four teams from the Great American Conference to earn the honor this year.

Ouachita had three players earn Academic All-District honors this past year, highlighted by G. Allen, who earned his second straight Academic All-America honor and was also selected as Ouachita's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year for the second straight season. Also, a total of 14 Tigers earned a spot on the GAC All-Academic Team, which honors sophomores and above with at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA.

On the field this past year, the Tigers turned in their third straight winning season with a final record of 28-23.
