BENTONVILLE, Arkansas – Sadbaroy Kholdarova has repeated as a unanimous first team All-Great American Conference selection and
Kourtney Chumbley has been named GAC Coach of the Year to highlight the postseason honors for the Ouachita women's tennis team announced on Friday night.
Kholdarova is one of three unanimous first team honorees in the league, joining Southern Arkansas' Amelie Gindl and Harding's Alexia Zarate.
Overall during the 2024-25 season, Kholdarova is 27-8 in singles, including a 17-3 mark at No. 1 during the spring season and a 3-2 record at No. 1 in GAC play. In doubles, the sophomore from Uzbekistan is currently 19-13 combined with four different teammates. She is currently ranked No. 36 nationally in singles.
Kholdarova's most common doubles teammate also earned All-GAC honors this season with junior
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo collecting second team honors. The Bolivia native finished the regular season 16-15 in doubles combined with four different teammates and 11-16 in singles, including a pair of wins during GAC play at the No. 2 line.
Chumbley has guided Ouachita women's tennis to its most successful season in the GAC era. The Tigers are 11-10 overall this season following Friday's win over Henderson State in the GAC tournament quarterfinals.
Since her return to be the head coach at her alma mater in 2020, Chumbley has led the program to continued growth on and off the court with significant gains in athletic and academic success as well as the team's community service initiatives. During her tenure, the Tigers have earned 11 All-GAC selections, 22 academic All-GAC selections, four consecutive GAC sportsmanship awards, and four consecutive distinctions as an ITA All-Academic Team.
The GAC also announced its academic honor roll for the 2025 women's tennis season, which includes all players in the league with at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA in at least their second year of college. Four Tigers made the list, including
Ali May,
Natalia Zamora Caprirolo,
Marlee Bledsoe, and
Ruxandra Tolescu.
