Biography
Towers is entering his fourth season with the Tigers, after missing all of the 2013 season with an injury. Towers was redshirted in 2013.
During the 2012 season, Towers saw action at quarterback, running back and receiver. Towers threw for 573 yards and seven touchdowns, rushed for 445 and four touchdowns and recorded 13 receiving yards. He was named to the 2012 All-GAC Second Team.
Towers played in all 10 games for the Tigers in 2011, recording 17 receiving yards and two rushing yards over the course of the season. He also returned a kickoff for 19 yards.
Towers comes to Ouachita after playing his high school career under head coach Blair Brown at Star City High School. During his time at Star City High, Towers was named as an All-State selection, as well as District MVP and All-District. Towers participated in the 2011 East-West All-Star Game.
Towers is the son of Jim and Christy Towers.
