Ouachita Athletics Hall of Fame
Freeze was inducted into the Ouachita Baptist Athletics Hall of Fame in 2008 for his contributions on the Ouachita football team from the years of 1966-1970. Freeze was a four year starter and letterman on the football team while also lettering three years on the track team. He was a member of the Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference Championship team in 1966 and was a member of the 1968 Peanut Bowl Championship team.
Freeze was selected as a starting wide receiver for the AIC All-Decade team of the 1960's and was the first Tiger to ever record at least 2,000 career receiving yards. He was selected as an All-AIC Honorable Mention selection in 1967 and was named to the All-AIC First Team in 1968 and 1969. Freeze recorded 2,453 career receiving yards on 154 career receptions, adding 24 receiving touchdowns, two punt return touchdowns and three two point conversion receptions. He averaged 15.9 yards per reception over the course of his career.
After leaving Ouachita, Freeze was a starting wide receiver for the European Military Football Championship in 1970, where he was named the Most Valuable Player in the Championship game for his three touchdown performance. He served three and a half years in the United States Army, serving with the 4th and 1st Armored Divisions, which were stationed in Germany.
Freeze retired in July 2011 from Motion Industries, a subsidiary of Genuine Parts Inc. after 25 years as a Vice President and General Manager of the company.Â
