Ouachita Athletics Hall of Fame
Larry Wooldridge came to Ouachita in 1965 following a stellar career at North Little Rock High School. He was a two year starter for the Wildcats at quarterback and safety and was selected to the All-State team in 1964 at defensive back. He currently holds the Arkansas High School state record for pass interceptions with 15.
Wooldridge played for the Tiger football team from 1965 to 1969. He was a four-year starter at safety and was named as an All-Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference Selection in 1966, 1967 and 1968.
He is the current OBU record holder for interceptions in a season with nine during the 1966 campaign.
Over the course of his career at Ouachita, he accumulated 23 interceptions. He grabbed four of those against the University of the Ozarks in 1965 and three against Southern State in 1966.
