Ouachita Athletics Hall of Fame
Jay Freeman, Sr. — One of Arkansas’s most successful tennis players of all-time, Freeman attended Ouachita in the late 1930s. A charter member of the Arkansas Tennis Hall of Fame, Freeman was the first Arkansas invited to play in Wimbledon.
Freeman was a standout tennis player for Ouachita during his days as a Tiger and went on to win eight national championships in doubles play after college.
Freeman is also a member of the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame, class of 2006.
